Are Mosquitoes Exterminating Mankind?

The question is, “Are Mosquitoes Exterminating Mankind?”

The dreaded mosquitoes rule our world.

The female killers attracted by human breath and body odour sucks blood from a human body for the development of their eggs, as without regular intakes of blood their ability to reproduce, quickly diminish.

They’re so smart that they can detect carbon dioxide which humans and other animals produce, it’s a signal to the mosquitoes that a blood meal is near.

More deaths are associated with mosquitoes as they carry a number of deadly diseases, malaria, dengue fever, yellow fever and encephalitis. They also carry heart-worm which can be lethal to your dog.

Without a way to prevent the female sucking blood and spreading disease, mosquitoes will exterminate mankind!

We’ve tried the sprays, chemicals and the lotions and with them now becoming immune to DEET, without another method to prevent being eaten alive by these minute predator’s it could be the end of the human race.

One solution is to create a scent that can neutralize the carbon dioxide and body odour that our bodies give off, for once the females mosquitoes stop sucking our blood they will become infertile and this will break the cycle.

It sounds simple enough, right?

But hey, I’m no scientist, it’s just a theory.

What do you think?

Pig The Fibber

I read the children’s book called, ‘Pig The Fibber.’

This children’s book was written and beautifully illustrated by Aaron Blabey.

This delightful children’s book tells the tale of a very naughty pug dog called Pig that lives with Trevor a trustworthy sausage dog.

Pig always tells fibs and blames Trevor the sausage dog for all the naughty things that he does, so, when their owner puts poor Trevor outside to chastise him, Pig seizes his chance to grab some dog biscuits.

However, Pigs plan backfires and their owner finds out the true culprit.

To find out what happened next why not read the book or watch it on YouTube, then you can tell me what you think.

This children’s book has great illustrations and is very witty, all children will like it.

It encourages you to always tell the truth, and also teaches us that telling lies can get you into more trouble, so don’t do it!

So, remember don’t be a fibber like Pig, be like Trevor who is always truthful and kind.

What Are Petroglyphs?

The question is, “What Are Petroglyphs?”

Petroglyphs are cryptic drawings.

These ancient rock drawings were found in Valcamonica in Northern Italy and are believed to be 10,000 years old, and are part of 200,000 others that are carved into the valley.

They show drawings of astronauts. Their helmets look illuminated, with each of them holding some type of device.

I’m fascinated by the drawings, and what they represent; visitors from another world.

Their hand-held devices interest me, they that look similar to a mini satellite dish.

Could these be weapons or a device that’s collecting data from planet Earth’s surface or are they a receiver of some kind, sending or receiving transmissions from space?

For someone to set in stone a scene from history is truly fascinating.

So, is this proof that aliens have been seen visiting Earth 10,000 years ago?

And if so where are they now?

What do you think?

Who Sank The Boat?

I read the children’s book called, ‘Who Sank The Boat.’

This children’s book was written and beautifully illustrated by Pamela Allen.

It’s a witty tale about some farm animals and a row boat.

When a cow, donkey, sheep, pig and a mouse decide to go on a row boat they get no farther than the bay as one of them causes the boat to sink.

It’s a great short story with lovely illustrations that young children will enjoy.

I liked guessing who sank the boat before I got to the end.

So, to find out which farm animal sank the boat why not either read the book or watch it on YouTube, then you can tell me what you think.

And remember, choose your friends wisely next time you’re getting into a row boat!

What’s An Exoplanet?

The question is, “What’s An Exoplanet?”

An exoplanet is the name given to planets that orbit stars other than the sun that are outside of the solar system.

There are thousands of exoplanets that have been discovered by the Kepler space telescope for years.

They come in many sizes with different surfaces, e.g. icy or rocky etc.

With 500 solar systems already found and new ones being discovered yearly many more exoplanets will exist.

I read an article that said we’ve been searching for habited planets for four years.

So, isn’t it possible that one will be found in the future, as with so many exoplanets in the solar system I don’t believe that not one of them is not habited.

We rely too much on visual evidence which I must point out doesn’t mean that life doesn’t exist because we humans can’t see it.

But hey, I’m no scientist, what do you think?

Hiccupotamus

I read the children’s book called, ‘Hiccupotamus.’

This children’s book was written and beautifully illustrated by Aaron Zenz.

It’s a lovely children’s rhyming picture book about a hippo.

When a Hippopotamus keeps hiccupping, a Centipede, Rhinoceros and Elephant decide to find a way to cure him, by using some very unusual techniques indeed.

But can they cure him or will he continue hiccupping forever?

It’s a wonderful book that encourages caring and friendship.

This children’s picture book has great colorful illustrations.

Young children will like the unusual rhyming words, it’s fun to say them.

So, why not read the book together, or watch it on YouTube to find out if the hippo was cured or not, then you can tell me how you would stop hiccups.

Is The Giant Hogweed An Alien Life Form?

The question is, “Is The Giant Hogweed An Alien Life Form?”

I read an article that claimed that the heatwave in the United Kingdom was causing the most toxic plant the “Giant Hogweed,” to spread.

The plant, it’s botanical name “Heracleum Mantegazzianum,” was imported from Central Asia in 1893.

I wonder if the importers knew how dangerous this plant was before releasing it to the wild, as the sap contains toxic chemicals and can burn people and animals if its touched.

Now I understand most plants have a defence mechanism if they feel threatened but this seems a bit extreme for a plant.

So, with that in mind, could it be an alien life form?

We all assume that aliens walk on two legs, but could some have roots instead?

But hey, I’m no Botanist, it’s just a theory.

What do you think?

Pig The Pug

I read the children’s book called, ‘Pig The Pug.’

This children’s book was written and illustrated by Aaron Blabey.

It’s about a greedy selfish pug dog called Pig. He lives with a sausage dog called Trevor.

When Trevor wants pig to share his toys that’s when the trouble starts. As Pig is very selfish and doesn’t want to share any of his toys with Trevor, not even one. Instead he stands on top of his huge pile of toys guarding them.

Unfortunately, the unsteadiness of the huge pile of toys makes Pig topple over.

But it works out alright in the end, for Trevor is happy he can now play with Pig for he’s wrapped up in bandages and can no longer complain.

It’s a delightful book that I’d recommend reading with young children. It teaches us all that being selfish doesn’t pay.

So, remember don’t be like Pig, be like Trevor who is always friendly, playful and kind.

So, why not read it now or watch it on YouTube, then you can tell me what you think?
