The question is, “Could we use Solar Sails to travel the
galaxy?”
The experts claim that solar sails can capture light
particles when bounced off reflective surfaces.
It’s these light particles that can cause
momentum, and momentum is what propels the solar sails forward.
If this is the case then why after a rocket’s been launched
into space do they not use solar sails to propel the rocket to its destination?
Not only would it save fuel and energy but it would also be more
space environmentally friendly.
If astronauts had use of solar sails just think of how far
they could travel within our solar system.
But hey, I’m no expert, what do you think?
