I read the children’s book called, ‘The
Heart and the Bottle,’ yesterday afternoon.
This children’s picture book was written
by Oliver Jeffers.
This delightful children’s picture book
is about a small girl that’s curious about the world. She also likes finding
new things.
A small girl’s curiosity gets the
better of her when she finds an empty chair. It makes her sad.
She’s so sad that she puts her heart
into a glass bottle and wears it round her neck, but then it changed her.
She wasn’t curious anymore.
That was until she met someone small.
Then she decided to get her heart back, but she didn’t know how to remove it
from the bottle for she was now grown and could no longer remember.
It’s a beautiful story that encourages
us to remain curious to all things even as we get older.
The story has a lovely ending.
