I read the children’s book called, ‘What
the Jackdaw Saw.’
This children’s book was written by Julia
Donaldson and illustrated by Nick Sharratt.
It’s a delightful children’s picture
book, that’s written also in sign for deaf children.
The story tells the tale of a Jackdaw
and what he can see.
When the Jackdaw flies over the
seaside, farm, town, forest, he names all the animals he can see and invites
them all to his party.
Everything’s going well until he flies
into a thunder cloud, but then everything turns black and he bumps into a tree.
So, what happened next?
Will the Jackdaw still have a party?
What do you think?
To find out what happened to the
Jackdaw, either read the book or watch the story on YouTube, then you can tell
me what you think.
It’s a great book that all young
children will enjoy. It encourages friendship and the learning of sign language.
